FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What denomination does Celebration Community Church belong to? We are an independent, ecumenical church and do not belong to a particular denomination. We are a Christian Church with an outreach to the GLBT community.

What is the church’s form of government? We have a congregational style of government that includes a church board that is elected by the congregation at our bi-annual congregational meetings.

What is the process for becoming a member? We offer membership classes about once a quarter and ask that those interested in becoming a member attend. If you cannot attend one of these meetings, you can make special arrangements by calling the church office.

Can I take communion at Celebration or do I have to be a member? All are welcome to take communion at Celebration. You do not have to be a member of this church or any church to receive communion because we consider it to be a gift from God for all those who seek God. You may go up by yourself or with a friend or family member. If you have difficulty walking, let an usher know and we can have someone bring you communion on those Sundays when we celebrate communion by having people come to the front to receive the wafer and grape juice.

Can I park across the street in the Southside Bank parking lot or will my car be towed? You do not need to worry about your car being towed if you park in the Southside parking lot.  In addition, you may park in our parking lot on the street between our parking lot and Southside.

If I fill out a first time visitor’s card, will I begin to receive phone calls? No, we will not call you unless you request a call. We would like your feedback about your worship experience at Celebration. We will send you a survey that we would like you to fill out and return.

If I have more questions who can I contact? Our church office is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 to 4:00. Feel free to call us and let us answer your questions. 817-335-3222.
